It’s time to celebrate Fall in Greater Cincinnati!  There’s loads to do this fall season, with plenty of happenings all around town.  Get a load of this list and be sure to hit up our calendar for more pumpkin-y, scarecrow-y, Halloween-y good times!

There’s so much to do, you might just need to make a repeat visit to explore it all! Trick or Treat at the Creep County Fair, check out the Fright Lights’ Musical Light Show, enjoy Coney’s Classic Rides, farmyard friends, pony rides, magic shows, pumpkin launch, pumpkin painting, mini-golf, a hay maze and more. Open 1 – 7 p.m. Oct. 15, 16, 22 and 23. General admission is $11, parking is $5 (some activities require an additional fee).

 

Halloween Fall Fest at Jane’s Saddlebag

Get ready for Halloween with a FREE warm-up on Oct. 15 and 16 that features plenty of candy in the Haunted Kids Village, a haunted hayride and more good fun.

 

Halloween Nights at Parky’s Farm

Join the hardly-haunted fun with a hay wagon ride, glow-in-the-dark mini golf, a fun house and slide, festive Halloween displays, and family activities and entertainment for all ages. 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. Thu – Sun, Oct. 13 – 30. Tickets purchased online are $8, tickets purchased at the gate are $8.

Haunted Village at Heritage Village Museum

Six nights of spooktacular fun include a family-friendly wagon ride through the Village (or take a stroll through the cemetery) while you keep an eye out for ghouls, witches, and even a mad scientist. Wear your Halloween costume and trick-or-treat throughout the Village, while enjoying face painting, balloon artistry, and games for all ages. Open 6 – 10 p.m. Fri and Sat, Oct. 14 – 29; admission is $8 for ages 2 and older.

“Bark” your calendars for Oct. 23 for a parade and trick-or-treat for both dogs and kids! Bring the pooch in costume for a 1 p.m. parade followed by fun on the trail from 1:30 – 4 p.m. Admission is $5 per dog and supports the Wiggley Field Dog Park Fund.

 

Jack O’Lantern Junction at EnterTRAINment Junction

Walk the trick-or-treat maze for kid-friendly ghosts, check out the miniature Halloweenville display, take a train ride, and pick up a free mini-pumpkin from the indoor Pumpkin Patch! The Junction is open during regular hours through Oct. 31, and is included with your Do-It-All Admission ticket (starting at $9.95 for kids, $13.95 for adults).

 

Kings Island’s The Great Pumpkin Fest

Running Sat and Sun in October from 12 – 6 p.m., this festival for littles includes live shows, a pumpkin patch, a hay bale maze, trick-or-treating, a petting farm, and plenty of open rides in the Planet Snoopy kids’ area. Big kids and grown-ups can head to the park for the super-scary Halloween Haunt that runs 6 p.m. – 1 a.m. Fri and Sat in October.

 

Magic Forest Halloween Hikes at Caldwell Nature Center

RSVP for an evening walk through a pumpkin-lit trail and meet costumed characters from nature and history in a non-scary holiday walk ideal for ages 3 – 10. Hikes begin at 7 p.m. on Oct. 21 and 22, with the last group leaving at 8:30 p.m. Cost is $6 per person (plus a $3 administrative fee per order), free ages 2 and younger.

 

Mermaids at Newport Aquarium

Discover a magical world underwater as the Mermaids swim with their favorite Aquarium animals from Oct. 1 – 16. Be sure to visit the web site for a schedule of meet-and-greet times, or RSVP for a Mermaid and Pirate Breakfast ($42.99; $32.99 passholders) on Oct. 16. Guests will enjoy a tasty breakfast and a visit through the Aquarium before it opens to the general public, complete with a personal Mermaid and pirate meeting.
