End Summer with a Treat

It’s probably safe to say that this summer has been nothing short of brutal in terms of heat and humidity. Saying goodbye to summer and hello to fall is a great time to indulge in a sweet frozen treat with the kids to make that afternoon heatwave pass by a little easier. Or, to help delay the classic case of the kids’ afternoon restlessness. Here’s a roundup of our favorite spots with the best fall assortments for when your family’s sweet tooth kicks in!

Graeter’s Ice Cream

With locations across Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, this popular ice creamery is sure to never disappoint. With over 145 years of perfecting their craft, Graeter’s is known nationwide for their perfect ice cream. The flavor options are endless with everything from classic flavors to low-glycemic and sorbet options. You’re sure to find exactly what you and your kids need to satisfy those cravings. Their limited edition fall flavors include pumpkin and Apple Cider Sorbet.

The Cone

With acknowledgments like AOL’s “Best Family Friendly Restaurant” and Cincinnati Magazine’s “Best Soft Serve in Cincinnati,” the cone is certainly a place both you and the kids can have a lot of fun with. Not only is the place super fun on the outside (the building itself is shaped like an ice cream cone), the inside is fun as well with an indoor game room to keep the kids occupied for a bit while you enjoy some of the best soft serve in the city! Another plus is that all of their ice creams, ices and sherbets are soy free, gluten-free and egg-free! Be sure to stop by The Cone and grab their seasonal pumpkin ice cream before they close for the season September 30.
