What better way to end the summer than with a good Labor Day bang at the WEBN Fireworks and Riverfest from noon – 10 p.m. Sunday, September 2.  The fireworks begin around 9:07 p.m and the view is great on either side of the river. The show will go on for about 30 minutes.

On the Kentucky side, riverfront areas such as Newport on the Levee (1 Levee Way, Newport, KY 41071), Covington near the Roebling Suspension Bridge or the gorgeous overlook at Devou Park (1201 Park Dr, Covington, KY 41011) are ideal. Grab the family and get there early so you can land a good spot along the river. To listen in on the show, people can tune in to WEBN 102.7 to hear “SPACE – THE BIG BANG,” a themed soundtrack choreographed to the Western & Southern/WEBN Fireworks display. If you head to the Cincinnati side, the spots are Sawyer Point Park and Yeatman’s Cove (705 E Pete Rose Way, Cincinnati, OH 45202).

Other events taking place for the 42nd annual Riverfest show include live music from bands such as Loote, Liberty Deep Down, and Jenny March, family-friendly activities and of course lots of food and beverages. The only question is, which side of the river will be the loudest?
