Recycled Holiday Crafts
Rummage through that old recycling bin and you may just find some cool winter craft supplies! Crafting can definitely get expensive, but using what you already have means low-to-now cost cuteness. Check out these simple to make recycled holiday crafts…

Paper Tube Gingerbread Town
- Paper towel or toilet paper tube
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Markers
- White Out Pen
Instructions: Simple cut a triangle into a paper tube and you have the shape of a tiny little house. You can keep cutting the tube to make as many houses as you would like! Decorate each one with little windows, doors, treats and some snow, too. One fun idea is to try to make famous houses (from pop culture, history, etc.)

Tin Can Luminary
- Tin Can
- Water
- Marker
- Hammer
- Nail
- Tea light
Instructions: After enjoying a can of Spaghettios, save the can. Clean it out and fill it with water, then freeze. Having a hard surface behind the tin can will make hammering a design in easier.
When you are ready to get crafting, mark your can with dots to outline a very simple design (shapes are a good starter, or even just a can with lots of hammered in dots means lots of light escape the luminary—very pretty!)

Holiday Card Christmas Tree Collage
- Holiday Cards
- Scissors
- Glue
- Card stock paper
Instructions: It is hard to bid adieu to holiday cards sent by friends and family. If you have a stockpile of old cards, this may be the holiday craft for you! Simply draw a triangle shape on a piece of card stock, and then cut out squares, circles or triangle out of your favorite cards. Glue the pieces onto the paper, creating a pretty Christmas tree made of cards you love! Make and frame a tree every year for a gorgeous mantle filled with Christmas tree memories.
