The last things I needed off my baby registry were two reliable stroller systems – one for leisurely walks with the family, and one I can run freely with. I’m the type who reuses my baby items, but when I realized it’s been 5 years since I’ve had a new little one, my strollers and car seats were not only out dated, they looked like I had run them in the ground – because I did.

What can I say, I walk a lot, I run a lot, and this running mama needs reliable, smooth rides for those days I can’t go run on my own. My Dad’s eyes popped when he saw how worn down my strollers were. “You are the only person I know who runs down the tread on her strollers!” Yes, that’s me. So let’s just say, I needed something sturdy, strong and long-lasting.

I found the Chicco TRE Jogging Stroller – Titan and the Chicco Bravo Trio Travel System, and they don’t mess around! For the days I want to bring along my littlest companion, it’s important to choose the right strollers to keep Baby safe and mommy happy.

For runners

The day my doctor gave me the thumbs up to run at my 6-week postpartum checkup was the day I went home and put my stroller pieces together. Honestly, looking at the TRE was intimidating. It’s made for mom runners who enjoy taking on any terrain that stands in their way. It’s also well equipped with all of your running needs – extra storage, cup holders, a hand brake, 16″ pneumatic rear tires make it and dual FlexCore suspension that adjusts for smooth or rugged terrains. I put on my big girl hat and it was surprisingly quite easy to figure out. Using it was the next trick.

The nifty swivel lock easily locks the front swivel wheel so you can keep on strolling; and for when you are running at full speed, the hand break makes it easy to stop in any situation. Plus, there is a handle lock right at your fingertips that adjusts the handle to your height! This stroller is built tough! For now, I easily click in the Chicco Key Fit car seat (perfect for baby’s up to 6 months) and from 6 months  – 50 pounds, my not-so-litte-bundle will then sit nice and snug in the comfortable, adjustable seat.

For Walkers

Love to walk with the older kiddos? Can’t wait to take that little bundle out on her first stroll? The Bravo Trio Travel System – Parker from Chicco is my top pick for those first outings with Baby and on!

After one week of feeling cooped up in the house and lost in the new baby routine, I needed some fresh air. Of course, I took it easy on our first outing, and luckily I had a good stroller to help lead the way. My tiny newborn loved the ride and was safe and cozied up for our quick 10 minute in-and-out stroll.

The Bravo includes a UPF-rated canopy with peek-a-boo mesh window that provides protection and sleepy-time covering for your baby. The large treaded tires help navigate uneven terrain while out on short or long walks. My husband was happy to know that storing this stroller was a piece of cake. No kidding – we have always had issues getting our strollers to fold correctly and easily. It was important that we found one which could fold on the fly and fit nicely in the back of our SUV. It has a one-hand smart fold that automatically swivels the front wheels to stand independently on its own. This also keeps the parent handle from touching the ground, so everything is kept clean and untouched (germ-free is the way to be!).
