I recently visited Light Up the Fair with my son, and we were both in awe of all of the lights! The path is 2-miles long, there are approximately 750,000 individual lights and 1.5 million computer-controlled channels. The lights are synchronized with fun, holiday music that will be sure to amplify your experience. There were several lighted tunnels (the snowflake tunnel was our favorite); colorful, lit-up globes that covered the ground; the giant leg lamp from A Christmas Story and so much more!

The four business partners are born and raised in Northern Kentucky and their hard work and dedication does not go unnoticed. It takes months to prepare, build, and operate the show daily. In fact, they reached out via Facebook to ask their followers ideas for this year’s lights. Some ideas were incorporated which was fun to see! They recently announced that if you bring your pet with you to Light Up The Fair, $5 of your purchase will be donated to the Boone County Animal Shelter, plus your pet will be welcomed with a treat!

Light Up The Fair is located at 5819 Idlewild Road, Burlington, Ky. Admission is $7 per person and tickets can be purchased online or at the gate. Military, first responders and children under 4 are free; hours of operation are Sunday – Thursday 5:30 – 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday 5:30 – 10 p.m. including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day!
