Build memories brick by brick with your family at the brand new LEGOLAND Discovery Center in Columbus, Ohio. This center is a brick head’s dream come true with an Ohio Miniland display, a variety of building stations, an indoor play center, 2 feature rides, 3 films at the 4D Theatre, an interactive LEGO Factory tour video, restaurant and gift store.

Miniland brings Ohio landmarks to life, on a small scale. You may recognize Cincinnati’s Union Terminal and the Great American Tower, along with COSI, the Rock ‘N Roll Hall of Fame, and the OSU football stadium. It is easy to find yourself awestruck by the towering buildings, constructed entirely of LEGOs, but the attention to every tiny detail within the display is just as impressive. The minifigures are playful and tell their own stories within the bustling mini-city. There are also interactive components in this space, where guests are encouraged to press buttons and control construction workers, boats, lights and even a football player scoring a touchdown.

Marveling at the LEGO masterpiece Miniland will surely leave your family feeling inspired to build, and there are many opportunities to do so at LEGOLAND Discovery Center. Whether you have a little one or a more advanced builder, there is a station for every age and interest level. There is a Duplo Farm, Duplo Village, LEGO Friends area, Earthquake and LEGO racers tables. There is also a creation station, where a master builder guides you to build a project. If your minifigures kiddos have any energy left, they can burn it up by climbing, crawling around and sliding down the Lego City play area.

The rides of LEGOLAND Discovery Center are perfect for adventurous families. First zap skeletons and trolls as you help save the princess from her captors in Kingdom Quest. Then mix up potions to land amongst the stars on Merlin’s Apprentice. The 4D theatre features 3 exciting movies with wind, rain and snow effects. Best of all- the movies are included in admission!

My family recently visited LEGOLAND Discovery Center and had a great time seeing Miniland, riding the rides and building together! I loved how bright and clean it was, and my kids loved how there were bricks as far as the eye could see. We purchased activity guides at the beginning, and my boys enjoyed pressing stamps at each station. Another cool thing you can do at LEGOLAND is bring a minifigure with you, and trade it with an employee! Employee name tags have minifigures on them, and my kids loved seeing the variety of characters each worker donned.
