President’s Day Happenings

Plan your President's Day with a fun family outing or a day camp for the kids!

Note: All of these events take place on President’s Day, Monday, February 21 unless stated otherwise.

Zoo Play Date at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden (register)

9 a .m. – 4 p.m.; Day campers can discover how humans and non-human animals use play to stay healthy and happy at the zoo! Campers will learn the importance of play while creating special enrichment items to help keep the animals happy and healthy. (Quick! There are only spots available for campers grades 5 – 8).

President’s Day Maple Camp at California Woods Nature Preserve (register)

9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.; Campers will make their own pancake syrup using drills, buckets, fire (and lots of careful supervision). There will be plenty of games, exploring and creating cool things.

9 a.m. – 4 p.m.; When school is closed for holidays, Kidsports Camp is in session. These one-day camps feature an action-packed day loaded with sports on the indoor field, swimming in the warm water pool, team-building activities and more.

Making Legos at the STEM Lab

Take advantage of Urban Air’s extended hours President’s Day weekend; Urban Air Cincinnati will be open on Friday, February 18 from 12 to 8 p.m.; and President’s Day – (Monday) February 21 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.! Kids can get all of their energy out with exciting attractions including trampolines, climbing walls, dodgeball, the “Dropzone,” a ropes course, Runway (Tumble Track); and lots more where that came from. 12 – 4 p.m.; School is out but WCA is open for fun on President’s Day! Dance, gymnastics, improv, snacks, crafts and all of the wiggles and giggles the kids need; $45 per child, $35 per sibling or friend who doesn’t attend WCA; eat lunch before you come.
