Mom Report: Butterfly Release at Blooms & Berries

Since we purchased our home, we have excitedly planted a garden every spring. The kids love getting their hands dirty, and then picking what ends up on our plates, and in their tummies. Each year I get a little more confident in my ability to actually keep plants alive, and our garden ends up getting bigger, and better. This years new additions include pumpkins, and some wildflowers — to attract pollinating bees! Along with our buzzy visitors, the wildflowers have attracted some of the most beautiful, big, colorful butterflies I have ever seen in the wild. We delight as they circle us, and we feel closer to nature, and this amazing world in which we live. The Summer of 2018 has been the summer of butterflies for my family; so as soon as we heard about it, we knew we had to be a part of Blooms & Berries inaugural Butterfly Festival!

While they are delightful to look at, they are hard at work; butterflies deserve the recognition, and celebration they are receiving at Blooms & Berries. You can celebrate butterflies with your family all week long! During the week your family can enjoy the sound garden, farmyard fun play area, meet some farm animals, have a picnic, and buy a scoop of ice cream at the market. Or plan your visit for this weekend. Be sure to purchase your tickets online to save $, and reserve your ticket to release a butterfly. There are butterfly releases scheduled for 11am, 1pm, and 3pm on Saturday, July 14, and Sunday, July 15! There will also be food trucks, live music, face painting, an education booth, and hayrides where you get to help the farm plant zinnia seeds. If you are looking to attract butterflies in your own backyard, Blooms & Berries Farm Market has you covered. The market sells butterfly gardens, and lots of flowers that attract pollinators. They also are stocked with delicious fudge, produce, meat, decorations, toys, and more!

There is always fun on the farm at Bloom & Berries. If your family has made memories at fall on the farm, you know that Blooms & Berries is simply the best. My family looks forward to seeing the zinnias we planted during Butterfly Festival this fall, picking pumpkins, admiring sunflowers, and going through the corn maze. If you love fall in the farm at Blooms & Berries, you’ll surely want to check out all that is offered at Butterfly Festival!
