Big Bear Mountain opened May 12 of this year, as Dollywood's Splash Country opened for the 23rd season. Daily operation continues through Aug. 20, 2023 when the park shifts to weekends-only through Sept. 10.

Dollywood’s newest coaster — Big Bear Mountain — provides an exciting expedition just waiting for families to conquer it together. Winding around Dollywood’s largest expansion, Wildwood Grove, this themed coaster boasts 3,990 feet of track, a top speed of 48 mph and an exhilarating nearly two-minute experience. Check Big Bear Mountain out at the Smoky Mountain Summer Celebration or head down this fall for the Harvest Festival. Dollywood’s brand-new HeartSong Lodge & Resort will be open with 302 rooms available for booking at that time.
