Journey BOREALIS – A Light Experience Like No Other

Journey BOREALIS is back this year with new features and excitement the whole family will love.

For the second year, Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park and Museum proudly presents Journey BOREALIS – a magnificent drive-through light display set in everyone’s most-loved sculpture park. As you enter, you drive through lighted arches that make you feel like you are driving into another dimension. Every square inch is covered with lights. Imagine: lights wrapped around trees in every color; favorite, familiar characters including Mickey Mouse and Cinderella’s pumpkin carriage; displays of carolers, ice skaters, a traditional nativity scene, and so much more; everything that will immediately put the whole family into the holiday spirit.

Last year’s Journey BOREALIS began a new chapter in the history of Pyramid Hill’s annual holiday light show.  Journey BOREALIS will again showcase new media by local and regional artists to create a visual art experience unlike any other.

Pyramid Hill will once again present a safe, drivable, holiday light experience for the whole family. This year, enjoy a soundtrack performed by Butler Philharmonic Orchestra with special tracks sung by the Cincinnati Boychoir and more to make this an immersive and unique light experience that is not only beautiful, it’s fun and entertaining for everyone. As you drive through this two-and-a-half mile journey, you can also listen in on the soundtrack which emphasizes the lighting design, guiding you past Swan Lake, through the Candy Cane Forest and watch your kids’ little eyes glow as you enter the 40-foot LED light tunnel with a final destination at the North Pole.

Even more exciting, this year’s show will include an altered route which will extend the course of the show, plus, an enhanced entry process and a big surprise at the end! So put on your Christmas jammies, grab some milk and cookies, change the radio over to the Journey BOREALIS soundtrack, and head over to Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park for Holiday Lights on the Hill.

Journey BOREALIS runs November 19 through January 2, 2021. This amazing artful light experience features 1,000,000 lights and holiday art installations created by regional artists including Brave Berlin, the creators of BLINK Cincinnati; open Monday – Thursday 6 – 9 p.m., and Friday – Sunday 6 – 10 p.m. For more information, visit journeyborealis.com.
