As much as quarantine stunk last year, it had some high points. One of those high points was the seemingly never-ending family time. As long as quarantine felt, I sure do miss all of the family fun that was had. If your life has gotten busy again with sports, errands, work, etc. and you miss that time with family, spend some time scheduling some family fun nights for this summer.
Here are some ideas to make some memorable family fun:
Make a New Tradition – Pick a day of the week to create a family fun night tradition. For example: Every Friday
night is family fun night!
Pair a Meal – Pair a family favorite meal with family fun night. For example: Nacho Friday Family Fun
Night. Have your kids help make the dinner too!
Pair an Activity – Pair activities for family fun night. Does your family like board games? Puzzles?
Movies? Outdoor activities? Set aside 1 day a week for one of these activities on a
weekly basis.
Draw from a Hat – If your family likes surprises, create a list of fun family activities, such as painting,
basketball, trivia night, hiking, card games, etc. and draw the surprise activity the day of!
