Cincinnati Children’s Expands to Eastgate
Save the date: November 3rd marks the grand opening of a brand new medical building from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Medical Center. The new location is at 4315 Ivy Pointe Blvd., in Clermont County. This location expands services for families not only in Clermont County, but other outings along the Ohio 32 corridor, families from NKY and WV, too. With specialty clinics, outpatient surgery and an urgent care, this two-story, 111,000 square-foot building is sure to make an impact on quality of life for many children. With hopes of growth and expansion, the grounds also include 5 additional acres.
Per CCHMC, services at the new Eastgate location include:
- Outpatient Surgery: Four operating rooms and the same expert care from Cincinnati Children’s top-ranked surgeons, now closer to home. Surgical services include Ear, Nose & Throat, Urology, Gynecology, Gastroenterology, and Pediatric Surgery.
- Urgent Care: Open 6 to 11 p.m. weekdays and noon to 7 p.m. weekends. Accommodates both walk-in patients and those who reserve appointments. The facility includes 12 exam rooms, X-ray, MRI and a clinical lab.
- Sports Medicine & Sports Physical Therapy: Featuring indoor gym, ballet barres & mirrors, 50-yard outdoor turf field, and basketball court.
- Speech Language Pathology, Audiology & Ophthalmology
- Behavioral Health – Psychology & Psychiatry: Includes outpatient care and partial hospitalization services.
- Occupational Therapy & Physical Therapy
- Nutrition Clinic: Provides medical nutrition therapy evaluations and recommendations.
- Ambulatory specialty clinics: Adolescent Medicine, Allergy, Breastfeeding Medicine, Cardiology, Dermatology, Echocardiogram, Electroencephalogram, Endocrinology, Ear, Nose & Throat, Gastroenterology, Gynecology, Healthworks-hypertension (Cardiology), Nephrology, Neurology, Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, Ped Surgery, Plastics, Podiatry, Pulmonary and Rheumatology.
- Child Life and Integrative Care: Specialists promote the emotional well-being of patients and families. Child Life employs play-based and coping techniques that have demonstrated effectiveness in alleviating pain, reducing anxiety, minimizing distress and promoting adherence to medical care.
- MRI & Radiology: Includes X-ray and ultrasound.
- Clinical Laboratory: Includes phlebotomy and a lab, which processes specimens for testing or prepares them for transport to the Burnet Campus in Avondale.
- Pharmacy: Weekdays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (closed daily 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. as well as holidays). Eastgate Pharmacy can fill prescriptions for all Cincinnati Children’s patients, not just those cared for at Eastgate.
