Who doesn’t love receiving fun packages in the mail? Especially if the contents cater to your specific interests! Subscription boxes are all the rage right now, and rightfully so in my opinion. I have always loved getting mail, ever since summer camp where I would look forward to mail call after lunch. A box filled with Lipsmackers and Swedish Fish would make me squeal with delight.

Now there are tons of great subscription boxes on the market – some for makeup, jewelry, books, food, clothes, toys etc. Not only are the boxes fit for every interest, they are also marketed to every age. A subscription box as a birthday present or holiday gift is a really unique way to remind someone special you are thinking of them; simply think about what their interests are and run a quick internet search! Afraid of having a monthly commitment? Many subscription boxes offer a variety of delivery frequencies to fit different budgets. You may send a box each month, quarterly, or you may choose to send a one-time gift box for a special occasion.

One subscription box I personally recommend for LEGO lovers and brick building enthusiasts is Brick Loot. For starters, the creator of Brick Loot is a kid-trepeneur! Thirteen year old Parker Krex came up with the idea for a brick-themed subscription box at the young age of 9. It always feel great to shop small, but to shop small AND support a kid’s dream feels even greater. Second, the boxes are diverse. Each month a different themed box containing four to eight items is shipped out including items like mini figures, mini cities, stickers, capes, lighting kits, exclusive LEGO items and other surprises. You can also browse the Brick Loot store for past boxes if you would like to purchase one of those.

My boys were able to unbox a Brick Loot package with a dinosaur theme called Brickasaurus World. They loved assembling the brick dinosaurs, putting paleontology themed stickers on their mini-figures and playing with a familiar bad guy from the Jurassic Park movies (he even came with a mini can of Barbasol shaving cream). I know they would love getting another Brick Loot box in the mail as a reward or gift!

Browse through past boxes, or check out the subscription packages available at Brick Loot, here: brickloot.com. The builders in your family will certainly love them!
