Kenton County Parks & Recreation and the Kenton County Public Library are teaming up to present: Third Tuesday Nature Series.
These free, educational and nature themed programs will meet the third Tuesday of the month at Lincoln Ridge Park (Shelterhouse 3) from 6:30 – 8 p.m.

Gardening for Wildlife! An employee from the Kenton County Extension Office will provide information about native pollinators. Make a mason bee hotel! Learn about a Citizen Science project. There will be resources from the library, an activity just for kids, and more! Please bring a clean, unlabeled 15 oz. soup can or a can of a similar size – 4.25” tall x 3” diameter- to make your bee hotel.

Tides of Summer – National Ocean Month! The Newport Aquarium’s WAVE on Wheels outreach program Tri-State Treasures! Discover the local freshwater ecosystem while you see and touch an endangered species, the lake sturgeon. Discuss these living fossils and learn about overfishing and the efforts to increase declining populations. Stinkpot turtles will also be featured!

Wonderful World of Water – National Water Quality Month! A look at water quality and water conservation! Enjoy hands-on learning with an Enviroscape, explore what lives in our creek, find out what bugs can tell us about water health, and more! Activities will be provided by Sanitation District No. 1 and the Kentucky Department of Water.
