Each year many Tri-State parents don’t take their children to see Santa Claus because they are afraid that Santa won’t be patient enough with their special needs child or that their child might be afraid of Santa. Some kids may need extra help and time to make their visit a happy and memorable one.  As a result, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC) is creating a special holiday event, complete with a Winter Wonderland setting and a Santa Claus that can relate with special needs children!  The day has been specially designed for children who have physical disabilities that might prevent them from sitting in Santa’s lap or cognitive disabilities that might mean they need extra attention or time to warm up to the Jolly Old Elf.

Bring the kids to CCHMC’s Fifth Third Bank Auditorium (location D; first floor across from the cafeteria) on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 12 – 4 p.m. for a free photo of your child and Santa Claus (feel free to bring your own camera as well), and enjoy entertainment, activities and refreshments!  Parking is free in the Visitor’s Parking Garage.
