Oh, the moments you have with your children are priceless, right? Sometimes you have those days filled with funny, irritating, heart-warming or sad moments that you’ll remember forever. It’s just those “WHAT THE HECK!?” moments that I have that keep me wondering what is going on in that little brain of my 2-year-old son.
So, yes, we are still potty training. We are not those parents that start and force it on hard core. We are just casually making our way to having a fully potty trained toddler. He’s doing pretty good, too.
While we are at home, I allow him to just run around in only a diaper or … for those brave days that I so rarely have … just big-boy undies. Let’s just say our carpet cleaner sure gets used … A LOT! LOL! But, that’s not all that goes on. He has taught himself that it is so so funny to just take the diaper or undies off and run around the house giggling and laughing saying, “I naked!”
Sure, I’ll let that slide for a little because maybe, just maybe, he’ll want to go potty. However, nothing could have prepared me for what really happened! He took a toy and peed right on it! Laughing while he was doing it. He was even holding it up so he made sure all his pee covered the toy. Then, he laughed some more and threw the pee-filled toy across the room … which caused yet another explosion of laughter.
Shocked as I was, I tried not to laugh myself. Who could have expected that!?
He runs off on the search for yet another toy to desecrate while I’m cleaning up the first incident. He returns beaming with delight. Uh-oh.
Well, he didn’t try to pee in that one. He just tried to hang it … well … you get the point.
What in the world!?
