Raising up Reading at Blue Manatee
Pick up a little summer reading at Blue Manatee (3094 Madison Road) and support the Blue Manatee Literacy Project, too. Blue Manatee’s mission of raising readers includes a 1:1 book donation program which supports early children’s literacy for all. Of course, it’s a great idea to head to the bookstore for ManaStories Afternoon Story Time on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4 p.m.; and Music and Movement Story Time on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. Learn more at bluemanatee.org or calling 513-257-0774.
Summer Reading Advenures + Coney Island Tickets!
The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County’s Summer Adventure Reading Program starts June 1. With 40 branches and eight weeks of themed programming, there’s something for everyone. Stop by the library to get a free Adventure Kit, then start reading! Readers use a “passport” to track reading minutes and earn prizes. Each week has a different reading theme (through July 31) and each time kids get their passport signed, they’ll be entered for a chance to win the Grand Prize: four tickets to Coney Island! Get going and learn more at cincinnatilibrary.org/summeradventure.
