Nothing is more fun than finding healthy ways for kids to enjoy eating. The sky’s the limit with what you can do to bring good food to your kids – and they’ll be at your table fast.
Here are fun ideas for healthy eating to help get you started:
Apple Toasties for Breakfast
Peel and apple and slice it into thin slices. Butter a slice of bread and place several strips apples on top. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and bake on a cookie sheet for 15 minutes at 375 degrees.
Eggs YOUR Way
Fry two eggs in a pan and flip over once. Make a funny face on top of the eggs with some of your child’s favorite veggies. Make one for yourself and enjoys eating the eyes, nose, mouth together!
Fruit Salad Cones
Combine one large banana (sliced), 7/8 oz. mandarin oranges, drained, ½ cups mini marshmallows, 1 cups strawberries sliced, 10 oz. pineapple chunks and ¾ cup lemon yogurs. Mix together and spoon immediately into ice cream cones. Yum.
Ice Cube Jello
Mix up a batch of jello using half the water. Fill an ice cube tray and refrigerate. When set, use a knife to slip out each cube and let kids press a banana slice into the jello before eating.
