1 package (19 ounces) Italian sausage links or (16 ounces) ground Italian sausage
1 cup pizza sauce
1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
1/2 cup red pepper, chopped
1 small can black olives
1-1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
Remove sausage from casing and pinch into dime-sized pieces.
Spread sauce over crust and sprinkle with one cup of the cheese.
Add sausage pieces, peppers and olives, then top with remaining cheese.
Slice basil into thin strips and sprinkle on top of cheese.
Bake according to the crust package directions or sausage is no longer pink and cheese is melted.
Before cutting, drizzle with olive oil.
