Mommy’s Day Out

Whether it’s alone, with your gals or a mommy-and-me with your kids, make it special with one of these refreshing outings!

FAIRFIELD AVENUE; Bellevue, Kentucky |
If you’re into historic, up-and-coming towns, Fairfield Avenue is all of that. Mom can browse all of the unique shops including Le Sorelle Boutique (341 Fairfield Ave.), grab a bite to eat at the
Bellevue Bistro (313 Fairfield Ave.), then head to one of the charming art galleries such as Bellevue Arts Collective (707 Fairfield Ave.). Keep a lookout for events like First Friday – Bellevue Blossoms (May 3 from 5 – 9 p.m.) and the next Girl’s Night Out.

HYDE PARK SQUARE | Hyde Park, Ohio |
Check out over 175 unique shops in one of Cincinnati’s oldest shopping spots. Mama can sip on a large selection of wine or have a tasty cup of joe at Awakenings Coffee & Wine (2734 Erie Ave.) and even listen to some live music! Afterward, head to Ossie Boutique (3433 Edwards Road) to browse some captivating accessories. Depending on the mood, try some power yoga at Move Your Hyde Power Yoga (3500 Michigan Ave.) or head to Hyde Park Salon (2711 Erie Ave.) for an exhilarating mani and pedi!

VILLAGE OF MARIEMONT | Mariemont, Ohio |
This little town’s charm and atmosphere will make Mom feel like she is not in Kansas anymore. Just walking up and down the tree-lined streets is relaxing all in itself — add a good movie at the historic Mariemont Theatre (6906 Wooster Pike, Mariemont, recently updated and expanded); and a scoop or two of Graeter’s Ice Cream (6918 Wooster Pike, Mariemont) to the equation, and you have yourself a complete mom’s day out! The nature mom can catch a break along the South 80 hiking and biking trails, or simply enjoy a mommy-and-me day at one of the 14 parks close by.

With everyone hyped up about Tano Bistro (204 W. Loveland Ave., Loveland) reopening after the fire in 2017, the old town of Loveland is still going strong with perfect little spots for sweet treats, delicious bites and new rooftop bars on the agenda for mama to kick back and relax along the historic block. Mom and the kids will love a scenic stroll along the Loveland Bike Trail after grabbing mouth-watering chocolates at Loveland Sweets (124 W. Loveland Ave.).

There is always something happening down at OTR! The antique-y mom can head to Wooden Nickel Antiques (1410 Central Pkwy.) for some of her favorite, unique goods. For the artsy mom, there is an array of art from Art Beyond Boundaries (1410 Main St.) to the art of music at the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (1241 Elm St.). Complete the day tasting fine wines at Market Wines (128 W Elder St.) during their weekend wine tastings in historic Findlay Market, and make hand-crafted candles at The Candle Lab (1325 Vine St.).
