Did you know that America imports twice as much food as it did a day ago? What does this increased reliance on imported food mean to people around the globe who produce food?
Journalist Kelsey Timmerman traveled the world to investigate that question, and will discuss what he found at 7 p.m. Friday, March 24, at the Newport Branch Library (901 E. Sixth St.) as part of the Campbell County Public Library’s Signature Series.
Timmerman will also discuss his book, Where Am I Eating? An Adventure Through the Global Food Economy (this month’s Cold Spring Branch Book Club selection). A book sale and singing will follow the discussion. Free tickets are required in advance. Call 859-781-6166, ext. 31.
