Make sure you give him LESS than he’ll eat so he can ask for more!
Your child is born instinctively knowing how much food he needs and he won’t usually overeat. However he can easily lose this skill. If he’s always pushed to eat more than he wants or is encouraged to finish everything on the plate, he may learn to ignore his body’s messages when he’s had enough to eat. This can lead to weight problems later.
