Here’s a recipe for an easy Fettuccine Alfredo!
1 box (24 ounces) dry fettuccine pasta
1 cup butter
1 pint heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup grated Romano cheese
1 dash garlic salt
1 dash dried basil
salt and pepper to taste
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add fettuccine and cook to desired tenderness.
In a large pot, melt butter into cream over low heat. Add garlic salt, basil, salt and pepper. Stir in cheese over medium heat until melted.
Add pasta to sauce and stir until pasta is thoroughly coated. Serve immediately.
Makes 6 servings.
Side note: Grilled chicken strips make an additional topping to the pasta along with sauteed peppers (in olive oil and red wine vinegar).
