Start a Tradition
This can be as simple as having breakfast together and serving heart-shaped pancakes on Valentine’s Day morning. You can also decorate your kitchen table with Valentine’s for everyone in your family after they’ve all gone to bed the night before. Give everyone a special treat!
Decorate and Let the Kids Help
Your local dollar store has cheap balloons and streamers — get some and decorate with the kids. Use red and pink ribbons, and flowers … Use pink, red, and white construction paper to make paper chains and hang them from the ceiling. Display Valentine books around your family room.
Add Love in the Kitchen
Valentine’s Day makes a great excuse to indulge in some delicious treats, and cooking and baking.Make some heart-shaped sugar cookies and decorate them with pink frosting and sprinkles. If you prefer chocolate, try making chocolate-covered strawberries or easy homemade truffles. Don’t forget the cupcakes!
