Did you know that Northern Kentucky University offers shows for all ages at the Haile Planetarium? Several of the shows are free, but RSVP is encouraged.
One Monday a month, the Planetarium hosts an hour-long show at noon. Coming up on March 26, ages 4 – 8 (and anyone who likes Sesame Street) can enjoy a screening of One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure.
Two shows on Thursday are ideal for a range of ages. On March 1, check out Back to the Moon, followed by New Horizons, both for grades 4 and older. On March 8, there’s another screening of One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure, followed by Experience the Aurora for grades 7 and older.
And Friday nights feature a double showing — the first show at 6 p.m. is aimed at preschoolers, followed by a show aimed at older kids.
