Come take the stage this summer with The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati Summer Camps. If your child loves to sing, dance and/or act, then this is the place for them. TCT Summer Camps are for ages 7-14 and begin May 31 and run through July 1. All camps are one week and are from 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. each day. If your child is a beginner or an expert, all levels are welcome at TCT!
From Encanto to Tech Camp to D&D-inspired camps, there’s a camp that your child is sure to love. Students will receive daily instruction, play theatre games, strengthen improv skills and make new friends.
TCT Summer Camps
Here are the options for TCT Summer Camps:
JTF Prep Camp – Ages 13 – 18
This camp will prepare and perform a 20-minute excerpt from a musical in the style of JTF, an international musical theatre competition that TCT attends annually.
Encanto – Ages 7 – 9
Bring the magic to life in our 1-week Encanto summer camp. Students will learn dances, scenes and songs from the movie musical that will culminate in a filmed final showcase.
Tech Camp – Ages 10 – 13
This camp will introduce students to the wonderful world of Technical Theatre through hands-on activities and lessons in construction, costuming, painting and lighting.
Songs of Sondheim – Ages 13 – 18
In honor of the late Stephen Sondheim, students will learn selections from some of his most famous shows while exploring complex musical styles and techniques.
AcademyLive! Disney’s Winnie the Pooh KIDS! – Ages 7 – 13
In just one-week, young performers will audition, rehearse and perform an entire musical with lights, set, and costumes.
Characters & Curtains: A D+D style camp – Ages 10 – 12
In this unique blend of theatre and Dungeons and Dragons, students will create their own characters and take classes in props, stage combat and more.
5-Day Play Project – Ages 10 – 18
Imitating one of the toughest college theater projects (The 24-Hour Play), students will work together to create an original story, write a play, cast, rehearse and perform it in just five days.
TCT Pop! – Ages 10 – 12
This camp will provide performers the opportunity to learn and perform top pop songs from the Billboard list.
Moana – Ages 7- 9
Performers will learn selections from the musical throughout the week as they prepare for their final filmed showcase.
Descendants – Ages 10 – 12
Join the kids from the Isle of Lost and learn songs and dances from this musical trilogy.
