September is Suicide Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and promote life-saving resources for those struggling with mental health. In Greater Cincinnati, two essential services are meeting this urgent need:
- Best Point Pediatric Mental Health Urgent Care
- Mobile Response and Stabilization Services (MRSS), offered through Butler Behavioral Health.
Mental health crises can happen at any time and often don’t require a hospital visit. Best Point’s Pediatric Mental Health Urgent Care provides immediate, walk-in support for children and teens facing emotional distress, behavioral changes, or suicidal thoughts. Located at 50501 Duck Creek Road, this clinic offers rapid assessments, crisis intervention, and personalized safety planning, helping families navigate difficult moments with compassion and care.
MRSS complements this by delivering care directly to youth (ages 21 and under) wherever they are—at home, in school, or in the community. Available 24/7, MRSS responds within 60 minutes and provides up to 42 days of intensive, in-home support. With a focus on safety, peer support, and long-term care connections, MRSS helps stabilize young lives and prevent future crises.
During Suicide Awareness Month, we’re reminded that early intervention saves lives. These proactive services are helping youth build resilience, find hope, and feel supported.
