It’s crazy how much a box of cereal costs these days! You probably prowl the cereal aisle looking for the “buy one, get one free” or the far-too-infrequent tags with reduced pricing.  But for kids who love to gobble cereal in the morning, parents can cut their cereal bill in half by blending, say, one box of Peanut Butter Crunch mixed with a generic corn puff cereal.  Store in a large, plastic cereal bin.  Another one: Blend one box of Cocoa Krispies with a box of generic rice krispies and cut down on the sugar while saving, too.  You can save by only purchasing what’s on sale and blending away with the always-cheaper brands.  Smart cookie, you!
