Young artists are invited to join The Carnegie’s fall ArtStop Artist Series Workshops beginning Sept. 9 and running through Oct. 28. Ages 7 – 12 interested in stage makeup, screenwriting, and costuming can sign up for fun classes taught by local teaching artists. Classes meet for one hour on Saturdays:
Stage Make-up: Learn the basics of stage make-up including creating facial hair, cuts, bruises and fantasy characters. $30
Spin-off Stories: Students will work together to write, stage and perform their own plays based on favorite supporting characters from films and books like Wonder Woman or Harry Potter. $30
Costume Puppets: This blend of costume making and puppet design will have students exploring a range of materials and techniques. $30
