Learn how to get eBooks, audiobooks and more from the Library on the Digital Bookmobile Friday, Aug. 14 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Reading Branch Library (8740 Reading Road). This free event, provided by OverDrive, Inc., as part of its nationwide Library tour, will include instructional videos, interactive computer stations and a fully-loaded gadget gallery. Readers of all ages will experience new ways to enjoy digital books and more from the Public Library.
The Digital Bookmobile is housed inside an 18-wheel tractor-trailer. This 74-foot community outreach vehicle is a high-tech update of the traditional bookmobile that has served communities for decades. The vehicle is equipped with broadband Internet-connected PCs, high definition monitors, premium sound systems and a variety of portable media players, all of which help visitors explore the Library’s digital service. Interactive learning stations give visitors an opportunity to search the Library’s digital media collection, use supported mobile devices and sample eBooks, audiobooks and video.
Library card holders can always check out digital titles anytime, anywhere by visiting CincinnatiLibrary.org/downloadables/. For more information about this event, call 513-369-6900.
