Museum Seeking Youth Volunteers
Beloved local attraction Cincinnati Museum Center (CMC) is recruiting for the next group of Youth Programs volunteers.
“CMC’s Youth Programs began in 1989 with two student volunteers in the Museum of Natural History & Science. In the years since those original “Lab Rats,” Youth Programs boasts over 2,000 alumni and has become a premier youth development initiative. It enhances the creativity, confidence and success of its participants, which numbered more than 50 students last year.”
The 2026 Youth Programs class is hoping to welcome 25 to 30 new students. These youth volunteers will get to develop and deliver programs to guests within the museum galleries. This real-world work will allow students to develop their speaking skills and grow their confidence alongside museum curators and other professionals.
Youth Program applicants must be ages 13-18 or in grades 7-12. It is free to apply, and applications are due by March 31st. Interested parties can attend a Youth Programs Family Night on March 6th to learn more.
