It’s a bird … it’s a plane … it’s Superman! The Children’s Theater of Cincinnati is showing Superman the Musical October 12 – 14. I had the opportunity to see it last week for opening weekend with my husband, 2-and-a half-year-old granddaughter, Eden, and 4-and-a-half-year-old niece, Keegan.

All of the usual characters were part of the show – Superman, Lois Lane, the editor of the paper, and of course a few villains. Eden and Keegan loved seeing Superman fly onto the stage. Both girls danced in their seats to the lively music, and Eden enjoyed mimicking all the hand motions and moves the characters made during the songs.

Several audience members, mostly kids but a few adults, wore superhero costumes and capes to the show. Capes can also be purchased at the theater, which made it fun for the audience. The show lasts about 70 minutes with no intermission.
