This past week I have attended two play dates where I did not get to connect with my friends because everyone was looking after their kids. That is not a bad thing, but I am learning that certain environments are more conducive for an actual conversation to happen when kids are around.  The Blue Cocoon is a great environment for your kids to be engaged while you can visit with friends and still keep an eye on them.

The Blue Cocoon is tucked away in a little shopping plaza near downtown Montgomery.  It is partially a boutique that sells nursing and baby wearing items as well provides lactation support.  I was even able to order my breast pump through Blue Cocoon and rent an infant scale through them.  The other side to the business is that it is a play cafe.

The play cafe is gated off so kids can’t run off. There is plenty for kids to engage in, including a huge tree fort with slides and ramps. Kids can ride around on little wheeled toys or play at the train table. There are also lots of books and other soft toys. Although you cannot bring in food, coffee and snacks can be purchased. In addition to the play cafe, there are different classes for kids and parents. Some of the kids’ classes include yoga and music.

So the next time you want to connect with friends. the Blue Cocoon is the place to go! The Blue Cocoon is located at 9361 Montgomery Road, and is open every day of the week. It costs $10 to play. More information can be found at https://www.bluecocoonbaby.com/.
