Last year, the Campbell County Public Library teamed up with a local Girl Scout to bring 40 Little Libraries to various communities in Bellevue, Dayton, Fort Thomas, Newport and Southgate.  The Little Libraries are mini book houses scattered throughout the county and are designed for owners to share the love of reading with friends and neighbors — even if they don’t get their books back!

Recently, the Brighton Center in Newport added several Little Libraries to area community gardens for families to enjoy.  You can find them at the Ann Street Community Garden (700 block of St. Ann); Holy Spirit Parish (825 Washington Ave.); and Saratoga Place Apartments (798 Saratoga St.).  Supporters who want to keep the little book houses stocked can grab a Little Library refill bag at any Campbell County library branch — the books are free from the Friends of the Campbell County Public Library, just be sure to return the bag.
