TCT’s ‘Garfield, The Musical with Cattitude’

TCT is celebrating their 101st year with new, on-stage and virtual performances!

Are you ready for some theatre? So are we! The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati is bringing back more live performances as part of their 101st season including GARFIELD, THE MUSICAL WITH CATTITUDE! See in-person, (socially distanced, of course!) LIVE performances on TCT’s Ralph and Patricia Corbett Showtime Stage on Red Bank Road January 21 through February 14, or at home or school streamed through their online service, Broadway On Demand, beginning January 28.

Everyone can relate to “the case of the Monday’s” with the one who dislikes Mondays the most – Garfield – he’ll be on center stage! In this musical adaptation of everyone’s favorite sarcastic tubby tabby, Garfield awakens to find his birthday – the most important day of the year – has fallen on a Monday. The horror! Families will love watching all of his friends – Jon, Odie, Arlene, and even his nemesis, Nermal – in action as they realize that have completely forgotten it’s his big day. Only his beloved teddy bear, Pookie, understands his disappointment. Feeling rejected, Garfield leaves the comforts of home only to discover there’s no TV, the food is garbage (literally) and animal control is almost around every corner. As with all TCT productions, the end brings a delightful message to families when Garfield learns the importance of the little things such as the value of friendship and that “home is where the heart – and the food – is.

Grab the whole family and head safely back to theatre this year! In-person seating will be limited to 30 percent (44 seats) per performance, and the TCT Team is continuing to work diligently to follow all guidelines for of the health and safety of the audience, staff and the actors on stage.
