Families are invited to honor the life of Civil Rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., on Monday, Jan. 19 with special programs at select branches of the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County.

Celebrate the life of Civil Rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. starting at 2 p.m. in the Children’s Learning Center in the Main Library.  Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati actor Deondra Kamau Means will perform “Martin’s Dream,” a one-man show that explores the real person behind the historic figure.  Afterward, children can make an inspirational craft.  No registration required.

To celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr., children are invited to listen to stories at 3 p.m. and decorate a paper peace symbol to be displayed in the branch throughout Black History Month.  No registration required.
