FREE WILD WEDNESDAY Wednesdays are Wild at the Newport Aquarium (Pre-Program: Kenton County Parks & Recreation (KCP&R); Post-Program: Kenton County Solid Waste). Friday, June 16

FREE CFTA FOOD TRUCK FESTIVAL Foodies and families will love browsing more than 30 local food trucks. There will also be music, a retail vendor market, face painting and more!  Summit Park , 4335 Glendale Milford Road, Blue Ash; 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.

NATURE’S FIREWORKS! (register) See the Cincinnati Nature Center in a new light — at dark! Families can create a new tradition while discovering the magic of a night sky light show put on by fireflies. Saturday, June 17 

CELTIC FEST OHIO Eat, drink, rock and shop the Celtic way. Families can navigate through the park with Shamrock Shenanigans, a scavenger hunt, meet Miller Border Collies, hear live bagpipe performances and more. Renaissance Park , 10542 Ohio 73, Waynesville; 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.; $15 ages 13+.

FARM ENCOUNTERS WALK (register) Explore the gardens, join the animals in the pasture, learn to feed chickens and walk through GHF’s historic buildings during this guided farm tour. Gorman Heritage Farm, 10052 Reading Road, Cincinnati; 12:30 – 2 p.m.; $15 non-member, $10 GHF member; 513-410-9237. 

PYRAMID HILL FISHING DERBY Bring a rod, pack a picnic and get ready for a fun day with the family! Children can participate in a catch-and-release fishing tournament; there will prizes for the winner of the kids and adult groups. FATHER’S DAY AT CINCINNATI ZOO & BOTANICAL GARDENS Dads can spend the day with their wild ones visiting the cubs, pups and chicks at the zoo. Today, Dads will enjoy free admission to Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Gardens to see all of the amazing animal families.
