Mom Report: Blooms & Berries Farm Market

Blooms and Berries is open and ready for you this season! If your kids enjoy Fall on the Farm, they will enjoy the activities that Blooms and Berries has available this spring and summer! The spider web climber, animals, and slide are still available as well as many of the other play area features, except the storyboard walk and corn maze, as they are seasonal and available during Fall on the Farm. Blooms and Berries did, however, add a lovely sound garden with a floral/garden theme to the play area. Kids big and small can experiment with the different instruments and the sounds that they make. One of my favorite parts is that the play area is fenced in! I can rest my legs at a picnic table while my kids run off and play. The only entrance and exit to the play area is through the store. Blooms and Berries now also offers play passes! For the low price of $10, you can get a season pass that includes the Farmyard Fun Play Area now through August 17. When everyone is worn out from playing hard, make sure to stop in the market for some ice cream! The blue moon cookie dough was a hit with my kids!

Also, keep an eye out for information on strawberry picking and the fun events occurring this summer! I took my kids to Family Garden Weekend where they each picked a “recipe” for what plants to pick to make a themed pot. My daughter chose to make a fairy garden and my son chose to make a pizza garden. They took their recipes, picked out a pot, and explored the garden area which had visuals to help them find the plants they wanted to put into their pot based on their recipe. When they found all of the plants they needed, we paid for our pots and plants, and then planted them! Blooms and Berries has potting stations available so you can pot your plants before taking them home. This was a huge help for me as I always make a giant mess with potting soil in my garage and driveway. Another benefit to potting your plants at Blooms and Berries is that the potting soil is FREE if you pot onsite.

There is a lot of learning and fun to be had at Blooms and Berries Farm Market this spring and summer. Keep an eye out on Facebook and check their website for all of the upcoming fun!
