At Burwinkel Farms, family Fall fun is actually… affordable!
Believe it or not, for a mere ten bucks per person, your family can go on a hayride through a beautiful field of sunflowers, find hidden scarecrows throughout the adventure, navigate through a vast corn maze and then each person can pick a small pumpkin and cut a sunflower. A whole afternoon of fun, for just ten bucks a person.
But wait, there is more!
The whole farm is like a giant playground, with something new and exciting around every corner.
The barn is home to some great games including a giant connect four set, spooky tic tac toe, checkers, a bull lasso game and a cute sensory activity, too.
In the market area there is a giant corn pool with dump trucks and buckets, duck races and a fun contraption where players move a metal loop around a path and if they touch the path with the loop an alarm goes off – BZZZZ (similar to the game Operation- a steady hand is important, but losing is kind of fun and everyone jumps when the buzzer rings).
What farm visit would be complete without seeing some farm friends? Burwinkel has that covered with a cute donkey and some friendly goats which are located near a skid maze. The exit of this maze leads to a really simple, yet seriously challenging maze called “red, white, blue”. And right behind all of this is yet another corn maze!
Every step along the way is something new to do and another photo to take. This family run farm is clearly run by folks who care about the experience their guests have- there are so many thoughtful touches; dotted throughout the farm are fun skeleton tractor scenes and adorable cutout photo opps galore.
