Kid-friendly New Year’s Eve Celebrations

There are tons of New Year's Eve happenings right here in city, and the kids can join in on the fun, too!

Here are some great ways for the little ones to ring in the New Year without having to compromise a good night’s rest! 

Noon Year’s Eve at the Main Branch – Boone County Public Library, Tuesday December 31 at 11:30 a.m.
Ring in the New Year a little early at the library; watch the ball drop and celebrate 2020 with crafts, face painting and a dance party. The BCPL Library is located at 1786 Burlington Pike, Burlington, Ky. 

New Year’s Eve Party at Sports Plus Cincinnati December 31 – January 1, 2020 through 7 p.m. – 3 a.m. (Register)
Kids 6 and older can bounce, climb and zip the the night away (no parents needed, unless you want to stay and play, too Mom and Dad!) This fun-filled party includes two slices of pizza per child, drinks, snacks throughout the evening. Cost is $34.95 per person; advanced registration required. Sports Plus is located at 10765 Reading Road, Cincinnati, Oh. 

Happy ZOO Year at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden December 31 from 5 – 9 p.m.
Head to the zoo on New Year’s Eve  for an exciting, family-friendly celebration including a MadCap puppet show, an early countdown and a fabulous a Rozzi’s firework show.  The Cincinnati Zoo is located at 3400 Vine St., Cincinnati, Oh.

New Year’s Eve at King’s Island WinterFest December 31
Come out to this family-friendly New Year’s Eve event! Join Snoopy’s Rockin’ Countdown Party, see Charlie Brown’s New Year’s Eve Celebration, and top the night off with fireworks at midnight! Tinker’s Early New Year’s Extravaganza takes place 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. at Tinker’s Spielzeug Haus. Join the Tinker’s Toy Factory elves for an early, family-friendly New Year’s Eve Countdown featuring character interactions and a giant balloon drop at 9 p.m.; countdown begins at 8:59 p.m. Kings Island is located at 6300 Kings Island Drive Kings Mills. Oh. 

Cyclones New Year’s Eve Fireworks December 31 at 6 p.m. at the Heritage Bank Center
Celebrate New Year’s Eve with the Cincinnati Cyclones as they take on the Swamp Rabbits. Immediately following the game there will be an exciting indoor fireworks show to help ring in 2020! Tickets starting at $18. Heritage Bank Center is located at 100 Broadway St., Cincinnati, Oh.

International New Year’s Eve at the Cincinnati Museum Center December 31 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Ring the new year in right! Each hour from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the CMC will highlight a different country and their unique culture with music, activities, crafts and a one-of-a-kind countdown to their 2020!  No passport? No problem – the CMC is providing passports for this FREE event! The CMC is located at 1301 Western Ave., Cincinnati, Oh. 

New Year’s Eve Kid Lunch Cruise at BB Riverboats December 31 
The whole family will love bringing in the new year aboard the BB Riverboat’s amazing cruises with a kid-friendly countdown at 12 p.m.! The cruise includes all of the party favors and DJ entertainment you need for a rockin’ New Year’s celebration. Enjoy exciting activities throughout the day and a tasty lunch buffet, too! You might even catch some of your favorite  characters from their popular Pirate, Princess, and Super Hero cruises. Sailing: 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., boarding: 10:30 a.m. BB Riverboats is located at 101 Riverboat Row, Newport, Ky. 

Noon Year’s Eve Party at Northgate Mall from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
The kids will love this FREE event loaded with fun, games and a kid’s countdown at noon! Dance the afternoon away, enjoy party favors and balloon art, too! Northgate Mall is located at 9501 Colerain Ave., Cincinnati, Oh. 

Teen New Year’s Eve Party at the Kenton County Library from 2:30 – 4 p.m.
Enjoy an afternoon New Year’s party with food, a movie and a craft for teens! KCPL is located at 502 Scott Blvd., Covington, Ky.
