FamilyFlickn is a project designed by Amber Kelly, a Community Psychologist and Bond Hill native. The Bond Hill Showcase Theater attracted neighbors and movie goers from throughout Cincinnati for almost 20 years; once the theater closed, the opportunity to see a movie in Bond Hill disappeared. Bond Hill residents had to travel to a theater outside the community to enjoy a movie with their family. FamilyFlickn creates free family movie events accessible to Bond Hill, Avondale and Roselawn families; all events will take place at Mercy Health (1701 Mercy Health Place, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45237), where the original theater was located. There will be four movie events that include party buses, indoor and outdoor movie screenings and refreshments. This is the first movie event on a party bus for families in the neighborhood.

Tips for a great FamilyFlickn experience:

  • All events are free and first-come-first-served.
  • Families should arrive 30 minutes before the screening to get free refreshments.
  • All movies will be family-friendly.
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult or guardian.
  • For party bus events, children must be 5-13 years of age.
