We value differences in race, culture, family and thought and are proud to be Cincinnati's only school accredited by the American Montessori Society. Children and staff are treated daily to a home-cooked lunch with vegetarian and gluten-free options (included in tuition price).
Since 1970, our experienced staff have nurtured each child's innate love of learning, and upon graduation, students have attended a number of private and public middle schools, including Walnut Hills, Clark, Wyoming, Madeira and others.
Children are given 45-minutes for recess and another 45-minutes to enjoy lunch with their friends. Our preprimary and elementary woods provide opportunities for climbing, building huts, tending gardens and discovering nature.
Melissa Robinson, former NKU director of strings and TNSM parent, leads our elementary beginning strings and orchestra program with great skill, creativity and love of fun. Over 40% of students in 2nd-6th grade elect to take part in our after-school strings program and orchestra.
The New School Montessori offers half-day, part-time, full-day, and before- and after-school programs for children ages 3 through grade 6. Our after-school clubs have included Shakespeare Club, fencing, cartooning, Clay Club, basketball, yoga and more.
We invite your family to attend one of our 2019-20 Open Houses where you can explore the classrooms and meet with teachers, parents and students, or call to schedule a private tour.
