Join us for a summer of magic! Have fun and learn theatre skills as we take our imaginations to great heights, create fantastical characters, enact our exploits, and so much more. Our summer camp programs are designed to build confidence, strengthen communication skills and develop a sense of ensemble and community. Camps for young people ages 6 to 17 focus on individual and collective skill development in a fun, supportive, process-based environment.
Full-Day Summer Theatre Camp
Each one-week offers five exciting courses that are designed to engage in the magic and playfulness of live theatre. All lessons lead up to a brief “shareformance” which shares a scene informally with friends and family on the last day of camp. Classes and themes vary each session for campers interested in joining multiple weeks! For students entering grades one to 10.
Full-Day Performance Academy
This process-based performance program is for the theatre enthusiast who wants to experience the production of a play from beginning to end. During each full-day camp session, campers will take technique and special skills classes and rehearse a play to be performed with limited sets and costumes for friends and family at the end of camp. For students entering grades one to 12. Performance Academy programs include three-week, two-week and one-week full-day camps.
Summer camps return to the Playhouse’s iconic Eden Park/Mt. Adams location with the grand opening of our brand-new mainstage theatre complex! Camps will also continue to be offered at Mason Community Center.
Launch Pad Accessibility Program
The Playhouse is committed to increasing accessibility to all its programs. Thanks to a generous grant from The Daniel and Susan Pfau Foundation, we are continuing a program designed to make our theatre day camp an integrated and inclusive experience for students with developmental disabilities.
Camps run from June 5 – August 4. Before/After Care options and scholarships available!
