Join in on July 17 as Kenton County Parks celebrates 40/20 — 40 years of parks and 20 years of recreation fun.
The county’s first parks, Pioneer Park and Richardson Road Park, opened in 1976, followed by Middleton-Mills and Doe Run Lake. In 1996, the recreation program was launched and has since included a number of award-winning programs, like Wild Wednesdays.
On July 17, head to Middleton-Mills Park (3415 Mills Road, Covington) from 2 – 6 p.m. for musical entertainment from The Hills of Kentucky, members of NKY Unplugged, and The Rumored. Dominach’s Taekwondo Academy will provide a water slide from 2 – 5 p.m., so be sure to wear your swim suits. Mr. Cowpie will also entertain with his Party Animals from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m., and Colonial Cottage and Culver’s will offer some tasty treats.
