Camp at the J is an outdoor summer day camp in Cincinnati for kids in grades K – 10. Our camp runs on a weekly basis, allowing families to have the flexibility to choose which and how many weeks they would like to attend. Camp is from 9:30am – 3:30pm with extended care options. At Camp at the J, kids can experience the best of summer. Camp at the J offers a variety of fun and educational programming taught by expert specialists. Enrichment activities include archery, arts and crafts, sports, drama, and much more. These activities foster friendship, build confidence, and offer opportunities for campers to learn new skills.
Campers are divided into age-appropriate co-ed groups. Each group is then divided into bunks of 15-20 campers to encourage small-group bonding.
Camp at the J incorporates values-based learning where children learn about the core values of respect, kindness, and community. Campers learn about Israel and international Jewish life through Jewish culture. At the end of each week, we gather for Shabbat Sing, where we celebrate our camp community and give out weekly awards.
Our goal at Camp at the J is to serve the whole child, from supporting their physical and mental wellness to weaving in Jewish cultural education, and making sure they just have a lot of fun! We partner with the American Camp Association to build wellness initiatives into the summer camp program. We have a youth mental health clinician onsite during camp, as well as a facility dog, to help support campers and communicate with parents.
Camp at the J provides all the fun that makes camp a summertime staple, with exciting and educational opportunities at every turn. Kids will create memories and form friendships to last a lifetime. Give your child a summer to remember at Camp at the J!
