For 55 years, The New School Montessori has been leading the way as a model for Montessori methodology and philosophy and is Cincinnati’s only Montessori school accredited by both AMS and ISACS. TNSM embraces diversity – valuing differences in race, culture, family, and thought.

Their experienced teachers have been interweaving Montessori principles and problem-solving concepts which nurture and stimulate, allowing the children to discover their innate love of learning.

Healthy, chef-prepared lunches are covered in the cost of tuition and include many vegetarian options. In a Cincinnati Magazine article,Tray Chic, they wrote, “You’d expect to find tilapia and asparagus on a restaurant menu, but in a school cafeteria?”

TNSM serves children age 3 to 6th grade, offering half-day, part-time, full-day, and an after-school extended day program led by TNSM staff from 3:00 until 5:30 p.m.

The New School Montessori is nestled in a quiet neighborhood of North Avondale with wooded playgrounds, beautiful gardens and charming interiors. Their campus consists of 3 buildings: a Victorian Mansion, a converted 1920s home and their new Kaleidoscope Center for the arts, administration, large motor activities and event space.
