Through rigorous academics, diverse opportunities, and a deep commitment to personal growth, students are encouraged to lead with purpose and compassion. Graduates of Saint Ursula Academy are women of faith, integrity, and courage who are ready to make a positive impact in the world. At SUA, each girl’s journey is nurtured, celebrated, and transformed into a lifelong foundation for success.
A girl who chooses Saint Ursula is joining a welcoming and supportive community where she can learn and grow academically, socially, and spiritually At Saint Ursula Academy, she is choosing a whole-person education approach. Saint Ursula not only cares how girls progress in the classroom, but who they become as people. Each student learns to be a confident young woman; someone who is a difference maker.
She is choosing a school filled with caring and experienced educators and staff who are dedicated to helping her succeed in her own unique way. SUA is known for academic excellence and as a founding member of the International Coalition of Girls’ Schools, is experienced in educating each girl in the ways she learns best.
She is choosing a family where she will make friends and grow in confidence. She will be empowered to try new things and assume leadership roles. In the all-girls environment, every opportunity to lead is filled by a girl. Whatever her role, she will find opportunities for leadership, and feel confident she belongs there.
“Saint Ursula has a legacy of excellence in academic and personal formation programs,” said Kathy Restle, Saint Ursula Academy Principal. “We invite every girl who has big dreams for the future to visit and see how SUA can help her set a strong foundation for the future.”
A few examples of the programming that sets Saint Ursula Academy apart include:
- The results speak for themselves. 100% of students graduate. There are multiple National Merit recognized students each year and most students earn college scholarship offers. Most recently, 94% the Class of 2023 earned more than $28-million in scholarship offers.
- SUA partners with colleges and universities, like the University of Cincinnati, for advanced STEM and College Credit Plus courses to encourage students to pursue careers where women are emerging as leaders.
- Saint Ursula helps each student learn to live her faith fully, helping her see how she can make a positive impact in the world.
- SUA is focused on global learning and provides students with opportunities to learn about others around the globe, including travel, exchange programs, and a connection to rich cultures close to home.
- Saint Ursula matches students with alumnae mentors in their fields of interest and hosts career shadow days for upper class students.
- Block scheduling allows students more time to process information and apply it to real-world scenarios.
- Saint Ursula provides academic and social-emotional support for students through clubs, Counseling Department programming and staff, the Mental Health Alliance, guest speakers for parents, tutoring programs, and more!
“Our girls work hard and partner with their teachers to invest in themselves. Over a student’s four years, we see such growth in confidence, project skills, and the ability to problem solve,” said Principal Restle. “Every student leaves a better version of herself than when she came in.”
The Catholic, faith-based, high school experience is anchored by the unique 10-acre multi-building campus with state-of-the-art facilities that offers a collegiate feel. Students navigate their classes in various buildings across campus, much like in an actual college setting while still in a supervised environment.
