What is the camp’s mission and philosophy?
My Nose Turns Red Youth Circus provides a non-competitive, safe environment for students of all ages to be courageous, set personal goals, persevere, work together, be inspired, and have fun.

What safety measures are in place?
The staff is trained to spot children on various equipment safely. We have a first aid station and ask permission to call for help in emergency situations.

What is the camper-to-counselor ratio?
1-5

How are staff members screened and trained?
Steve Roenker has over 40 years of experience in circus arts. USA Wheel Gymnastics has certified our wheel coaches, and they are trained in the Circus Youth in Action program.

Is there a daily schedule, and can you provide an example?
Campers begin with jump rope, a game, then circus skills such as rola bola, rolling globe, tightwire, acrobatics and juggling. Older campers work on unicycling and German wheel.

Are there opportunities for free play or downtime?
We take two breaks for all-day campers and lunchtime. Half-day campers have one snack time.

How does the camp handle health issues and allergies?
These are handled through registration. We talk to the parents about special needs and have the information handy for all coaches, but we have one person who manages health.

Are there opportunities for parents to visit or participate in camp activities?
We hold a showcase at the end of each one-week camp and a public showcase at the end of the Intermediate/Advanced two-week camp.
