Welcome to Kids Act Out /CPT! We are thrilled to bring the exciting world of theatre to your family! Whether a child is interested in pursuing theatre professionally or simply wants to give it a try, our camps welcome all children and has a role ready for every student. Our program focuses on teaching the principles and practices of theatre while making meaningful connections to real-life experiences. Our week long summer camp offerings are designed for children ages 5 – 15, with an advanced offering at the end of the summer for more experienced campers ages 12 – 17. Each camp week concludes with a fully staged weekend performance for friends and family.

Camp Times are Monday-Friday 9am-3pm instructional, early drop off 8:30-9am, pickup 3-3:30pm.
Shows are on Saturday. All campers will need to bring a packed lunch each day.

  • Week 1: June 8-13 “TREASURE ISLAND: DIG FOR THE GOLD!” (Ages 5 – 15) – Actors unearth adventure in Treasure Island as they explore new land, pirate lore and embark on thrilling treasure hunt! Who can be trusted and who will swim with the fishes?!
  • Week 2: June 15-20 “THE 12 DANCING PRINCESSES” (Ages 5 – 15) – (Hey fellas, don’t let the title scare you- this isn’t JUST about princesses ;)This musical follows twelve sisters that sneak off into a magical world, dancing all night, every night but what happens when the king discovers their secret? Throughout this week we’ll explore many genres of dance, music, and theatre while working on this show. This story is all about staying true to yourself and finding your heart along the way.
  • Week 3: June 22-27 “LITTLE RED AND THE BIG BAD EVERYTHING!” (Ages 5 – 14) – Join Little Red Riding Hood on a fun twist of her classic tale, where she and the Big Bad Wolf form an unexpected alliance! Campers will act, sing and dance their way through a sea of misunderstanding! No forrest is big enough for the both of them!
  • Week 4: July 6-11 “THE JUNGLE BOOK” (Ages 5 – 15) – Trek deep into the jungle where community and love thrive in the wild! Actors will learn the physicality of creating animal characters onstage through body and movement. This classic musical celebrates friendship, family and tells the beautiful story of young Mowgli and his jungle pals.
  • Week 5: July 13-18 “TALES OF THE BROTHERS GRIMM”(Ages 5 – 15) – Join us for a thrilling week of Theatre Camp with an original musical inspired by the Brothers Grimm, by Mrs. Calloway’s class! We will into classic folktales retold, from princesses like Snow White and Sleeping Beauty, to somewhat lesser known stories such as Rumpelstiltskin! If you were a fan of our Greek myths camp last year, this camp explores genres through fairytales and is perfect for exploring creation unleashing imagination while discovering the magic of theatre! Get ready for an enchanted adventure where these tales get a twist!
  • Week 6: July 20-25 “THE LITTLE MERMAID” (Ages 5 – 15) – Under the Sea where dreams come to life! Campers will sing, dance, and act their way through this beloved tale, exploring Ariel’s journey as she navigates love, choices and loyalty.
  • Week 7: July 27-Aug 1 “ALICE’S WONDERLAND” (Ages 5 – 15) – It’s Wonderland! Campers will find themselves in a new and whimsical world- filled with enchanting characters yet to be met as they fall down the rabbit hole.
  • Week 8: Aug 3-8 “ADVANCED CAMP: LITTLE WOMEN” (Ages 12-17) – In this advanced camp, actors will mount a full production in just one week, honing their craft through intensive rehearsals, classes on theatre methodologies, theatre history, learning audition techniques, and gaining insights from guest speakers who are industry professionals. It’s a unique opportunity to grow as a performer while exploring this classic tale.
  • Week 9: Aug 10-15 “THE WIZARD OF OZ” (Ages 5 – 15) – Dorothy and Toto traverse a twister and the magical Land of Oz. With the help of a talking Scarecrow, Tin Man, and a Cowardly Lion, Dorothy learns there is no place like home.
